Copper Bluffs is a five-star lakeside hotel on Lake Esplanade in Queenstown. Seventy-six rooms and suites look down Lake Wakatipu towards Cecil Peak, above a restaurant, a lounge bar, a spa and three event spaces. The gaming lounge on Level One is open to adults aged 20 and over. Everything else is open to guests of every age.

Classic Room
Twenty-five square metres at the rear of the building, with a queen bed and a walk-in shower. Quiet, because nothing passes that side. From NZ$265 per night.
Superior Lake View
Thirty-one square metres on the lake side, king or twin, with a full-width window and a pair of armchairs in front of it. From NZ$345 per night.
Cecil Suite
Fifty-six square metres with a separate bedroom, a living room and a private balcony facing Cecil Peak across the water. From NZ$655 per night.

The Casino
The gaming lounge occupies the whole of Level One, above the lobby and below the guest floors. Ten tables and forty-eight machines: blackjack and roulette every day the lounge is open, with poker and baccarat on a posted schedule. The casino games are the traditional ones, played in the room with a licensed dealer.
Doors open at 2pm and close at 2am, later on Friday and Saturday. Entry is restricted to guests and visitors aged 20 and over under the Gambling Act 2003, and photo identification is checked at the door.
Dining, spa and events
Bannockburn Restaurant and the Nevis Lounge sit side by side on the ground floor, with Tussock Spa below and three event spaces above.
Bannockburn Restaurant
Sixty-four covers along the lake windows, built around Central Otago produce — Cardrona lamb, Fiordland venison and a list that leans hard on Gibbston Valley pinot.
Tussock Spa
Four treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and an eighteen-metre indoor pool on the lower ground floor. Open to house guests from 6:30am, treatments by appointment.
Meetings & Events
Three spaces, from a ten-seat boardroom to the Kawarau Room, which seats 140 for dinner and opens onto its own terrace.
Queenstown & Central Otago
Two minutes down the steps to Lake Wakatipu and ten on foot into town. The Remarkables are forty minutes by road, Coronet Peak twenty-five, and the Gibbston Valley twenty-five minutes east along the Kawarau Gorge. Milford Sound is a long day and the one trip most guests say they would do again.
The concierge desk holds current timetables for all of it and books most of it without a fee.
Host Responsibility
Copper Bluffs holds host responsibility obligations under the Gambling Act 2003. The gaming lounge is 20 and over with identification checked at the door, our staff are trained to notice when someone has stopped enjoying themselves, and anyone who asks to be excluded from the lounge is excluded — quietly, and for as long as they want.
The lounge has clocks, windows and posted closing times, and there are no cash machines on the gaming floor.
